The State Bank of India (SBI) has informed its customers that most of its digital banking services will be temporarily unavailable on October 25, 2025, due to scheduled maintenance. The downtime is planned from 1:10 AM to 2:10 AM IST. SBI has apologized for the inconvenience and advised customers to use ATMs and UPI Lite during this period.

Services Affected During Maintenance

The one-hour maintenance will impact the following popular SBI digital services:

  • UPI (Unified Payments Interface): Payments and fund transfers via UPI will not be possible.

  • IMPS (Immediate Payment Service): Real-time fund transfers through IMPS will be affected.

  • YONO App: The SBI YONO app will be temporarily unavailable.

  • Internet Banking: All banking activities via SBI’s website will be suspended.

  • NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer): Transactions through NEFT will be paused.

  • RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement): High-value fund transfers via RTGS will also be unavailable.

Normal banking operations are expected to resume immediately after 2:10 AM IST.

Alternative Services for Customers

During the maintenance window, SBI recommends customers:

  • Use ATMs for cash withdrawals or other banking needs.

  • Use UPI Lite for small-value digital payments.

SBI’s official communication on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) advises patience and reassures customers about the resumption of services after maintenance.

Note on Schedule Change

Originally, the maintenance was planned for October 24, 2025, from 12:15 AM to 1:00 AM IST, but SBI later rescheduled it to October 25. The bank had notified customers about the change on October 23, 2025 via X.
