The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will announce the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or Class 10 examinations on Tuesday, May 13, at 1 PM. Over 16 lakh students across the state are awaiting the outcome, which will be made available online through the official board websites and partner platforms.
This year’s SSC exams, held from February 21 to March 17 in two shifts, were conducted at more than 5,000 centres across the state. A total of 16,11,610 students appeared, including 8,64,120 boys, 7,47,471 girls, and 19 transgender candidates. The exams were conducted across nine divisions — Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nagpur, Amravati, Kolhapur, Konkan, and Latur.
In a move that has been welcomed by educators and experts, the results are being declared nearly two weeks earlier than last year. The SSC 2024 results were announced on May 27, while this year’s results will be available on May 13, mirroring the early declaration of Class 12 (HSC) results which were released on May 5. The early release is being seen as a student-friendly initiative that allows more time for planning academic futures.
Strict measures were implemented this year as part of the state government’s ‘copy-free exam’ campaign to curb malpractices during the board exams. These efforts proved effective, as the number of cheating incidents dropped significantly. “Only 92 cases of malpractice were recorded during the SSC exams in 2025, a sharp decline from 140 cases in 2024 — reflecting increased vigilance and effective exam monitoring,” informed a senior MSBSHSE official.
Students will be able to view and print their subject-wise edited marksheets from the websites. Schools can access consolidated results and statistical data through their designated school login.
Those wishing to apply for revaluation, verification of marks, or obtain photocopies of answer sheets can do so online between May 14 and May 28 via the board’s official website. Applications may be submitted by the student directly or through their school, and payment can be made via debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking. Students seeking revaluation must first obtain a photocopy of the respective answer sheet and apply for review within five working days of receiving it.
Students who have cleared the SSC exam in all subjects will also be eligible to apply under the Class Improvement Scheme in the next three sessions: June-July 2025, February-March 2026, and June-July 2026.
The supplementary SSC examination is scheduled to take place in June-July 2025. Online applications for this attempt — meant for students who did not pass, those seeking to improve their scores, and private candidates — will be accepted starting Thursday, May 15, 2025. Detailed instructions and timelines will be issued through a separate notification on the state board’s website.
The SSC 2025 results will be available on the following websites from 1 PM on May 13:
