Mumbai | ICICI Lombard General Insurance, one of India’s leading private general insurers, has announced its strategic association with the Siddhivinayak Metro Station on Mumbai Metro’s underground Line 3 (Aqua Line). The station, now renamed ICICI Lombard Siddhivinayak Metro Station, is located adjacent to the revered Siddhivinayak Temple in Prabhadevi.
To mark the launch, Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis took a metro ride from BKC to the newly branded station, underlining the importance of the partnership in connecting the city’s spiritual, emotional, commercial, and wellness needs.
As part of the collaboration, ICICI Lombard has introduced a specialised health booth at the station—equipped with its AI-powered IL TakeCare app’s Face Scan feature. Commuters can check vital health metrics such as blood pressure, oxygen saturation, stress levels, and BMI in real time, simply by scanning their face—ushering in a unique blend of healthcare and transit convenience.
In a first for metro stations across India, the ICICI Lombard Siddhivinayak Metro Station also features an anamorphic wall—an immersive 3D installation offering a visually engaging brand experience. The station is adorned with creative displays aimed at raising awareness around bespoke insurance solutions for health, motor, business, and personal assets.
“It is a matter of immense honour for us at ICICI Lombard to be associated with the Siddhivinayak Metro Station, an initiative that stands at the crossroads of faith, progress and public service,” said Sanjeev Mantri, MD & CEO, ICICI Lombard. “This partnership reflects our commitment to serving Mumbai’s citizens not just through insurance, but by being a part of their daily journeys.”
Part of Phase 2 of Mumbai Metro Line 3, the ICICI Lombard Siddhivinayak Metro Station will connect major city corridors including SEEPZ, BKC, Colaba, Andheri, Worli, and JVLR. Designed with a four-level structure, the station aims to alleviate road congestion and enhance commuter comfort. Trains will operate from 6 AM to 11 PM, with high-frequency service every 3–4 minutes during peak hours.
ICICI Lombard, which has a Gross Written Premium (GWP) of ₹282.58 billion for FY25, continues to lead in digital innovation in the insurance space. With 328 branches and a workforce of over 15,000, the company’s IL TakeCare app has surpassed 14.9 million downloads, offering features like instant claims, teleconsultation, and wellness tracking.
