The show's main focus and setting is the titular bar and restaurant named Black Rabbit. Along with it is New York City that looms as an intimidating backdrop to the story's many dark twists and turns.
But just where was the series filmed? Is The Black Rabbit a real place? Which bar did the show use to pull off the effect? Here's everything you need to know.

According to website Netflix Junkies, the production for Black Rabbit opted to film on location in New York. It helps give the show a much more grounded feel as oppose to having filmed footage purely on a sound stage.
The report also notes that filming took place during April 2024 with the cast and crew taking advantage of several real-word locations. Bateman and Law were both spotted in and around New York City while filming.
This included the streets around Coney Island, Manhattan and Brooklyn. Bateman was pictured in full costume at one point leading to fans asking many questions as he looked near unrecognisable from previous roles.
However, a standout location is the venue that stands in for the Black Rabbit itself. The Netflix show used a former real life venue with a storied history for its prized place.
That is the now permanently closed Bridge Cafe, a historic site and once iconic place to visit in New York City. It is overlooked by Brooklyn Bridge, which allows the show to pull of a memorable shot in an early episode.
Apparently, despite its most recent name being Bridge Cafe, the building itself stood for around a century before the nearby bridge was constructed. According to a horror blog post, the spot has a very interesting history itself.
Since 1794, the building is believed to have been a brothel, a pirate bar, packing store, Hungarian restaurant, and even more. It is also supposedly haunted. One paranormal resident is said to be a former Irish bouncer who would cut of ears of visitors who misbehaved. There is also a tale of the spirit of a thirsty pirate who dropped in for a rum.
The venue was damaged during Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and its owners never reopened. It shut its doors for good in 2020. However, images on Google Maps show the building matching the show's aesthetic.
So even though fans of the show can technically visit the location, they can no longer get a drink there.
Black Rabbit is streaming on Netflix.
