My Life With The Walter Boys star Ashby Gentry has disclosed precisely why he's ditched "Team Alex" before season two drops.
Back in December 2023, a romantic triangle that had Netflix viewers absolutely hooked emerged between newcomer Jackie Howard (portrayed by Nikki Rodriguez) and siblings Alex (Ashby Gentry) and Cole Walter (Noah LaLonde).

Initially, Jackie began a romance with charming Alex but throughout the series, it became obvious she shared electric chemistry with Cole, culminating in their steamy kiss during the finale.
Season two's teaser has already hinted that following her departure from Silver Falls to return to New York, Jackie will come back to Colorado and confront both Alex and Cole.
However, this time Alex actor Ashby Gentry has declared he's no longer backing his character's pursuit of Jackie.
"I have to be Team Cole," Gentry admitted to Latin Times.
"There was no other choice this season for me."
The 26-year-old explained that his shift in allegiance occurred due to the contrasts he witnessed in Alex this time compared to the inaugural series.
He added: "Alex is so sensitive and gets moody and mopey and lashes out.
"But then when he's happy, he's over the moon. He's jumping up and down, super affectionate.
"He is all over the place and it's hard to root for him."
However, this doesn't imply that the tide can't turn once more, as it's already been confirmed that 'My Life With The Walter Boys' will be returning for a thrilling third season.
Indeed, filming for the third series kicked off earlier this month and is slated to wrap up in December.
Gentry tantalisingly hinted: "I have a feeling that the Alex we know and love will come back in season three.
"I don't think it's entirely lost on me yet... But it's hard to choose between those boys."
My Life With The Walter Boys premires on Thursday, 28 August, on Netflix.
