Asda is launching a new service across all 1,200 of its UK stores that will allow customers to collect and return parcels from thousands of retailers.
Thanks to a new partnership with Evri, the major retailer is rolling out ParcelShops in all of its stores, marking a first for a UK supermarket. The service has already been launched in more than 300 Asda locations, including Express convenience stores and some of its supermarkets and superstores, and will gradually be introduced at all 1,2000 stores across the UK by April 2026. Asda said the partnership will mean customers can collect and return parcels from thousands of retailers at their local Asda store, bringing convenience to shoppers, particularly ahead of the busy Christmas period.
The supermarket claims the new service will make shopping at Asda even more convenient for customers, as shoppers can pick up their groceries and collect parcels all in the same trip, reflecting the retailer's focus on offering a range of services under one roof.
Chris Hall, Vice President, Logistics at Asda, said: "One of the things that sets Asda apart is our unmatchable mix of services, so we're delighted to be partnering with Evri to be able to launch a brand-new one just in time for the festive season.
"We know how much our customers value convenience, and this service gives them the flexibility to collect or return an Evri parcel whether they're popping in for a pint of milk in one of our Express stores or doing their big shop in one of our larger stores."
According to Asda, more than 97% of urban consumers already live within one mile of an Evri pick up and drop off point, so the expansion highlights the growing popularity of out-of-home delivery services.
The announcement follows Evri's £50 million investment, revealed in June 2025, to double its network of ParcelShops and Lockers to 25,000 locations by 2030.
Martijn de Lange, Chief Executive at Evri, added: "This landmark agreement with fellow Leeds-based Asda strengthens our commitment to creating a delivery network fit for the modern UK shopper, directly giving them choice, convenience and control.
"We are excited about the opportunities this new partnership will bring, helping us to further drive our ambition to expand our capabilities and deliver an even more comprehensive, cost-effective, and customer-focused service across the UK and beyond."
