Disney Plus fans are adding 'intensely harrowing' true crime series to their watch lists

If you're a true crime fan and your 'to watch next' list is looking a bit thin, you might be wondering what you should be adding. It can feel really frustating when you're endlessly scrolling streaming platforms like Disney Plus and Netflix, only to waste a few hours in the process.

Luckily, one Disney Plus user has shared an "intensely harrowing" true crime series she thinks people should be adding to their watch list. And others have also been sharing their own suggestions, so you can really add to your to-watch list if needed.

Hollie Ann Noble regularly shares out TV recommendations on her @hollieannnoble TikTok account. Recently she claimed Disney and Hulu have added a series that looks "truly intensely harrowing" - Stalking Samantha.

Explaining the premise, Hollie said: "This is about a woman who was stalked by this guy for years. He infiltrated her church group, which was where she was all the time [and even] put trackers on her car and stuff.

"She said she was a bit nice to him. She felt a bit sorry for him, he seemed a bit lonely, he made some advances, she knocked him back. Eventually she tried to get a restraining order, or whatever the American equivalent is and that was denied, even though he had a history of stalking another woman.

"And then a few months later he kidnapped her. It sounds like it's going to make me worried in my general life, being out in the dark." Hollie warned people to "check trigger warnings" before watching, and "make sure you've strapped in" because there's "a lot of really, really dark stuff in here".

In the description of Stalking Samantha: 13 Years of Terror, it says: "Chained in a soundproof box by the man who stalked her for over a decade, Samantha must rely on her mind to survive. As she escapes, she faces a brutal choice: put Christopher behind bars on lesser charges or risk everything in pursuit of justice."

Many true crime fans responded to the TikTok, with one person saying: "Thank you. Will be adding this to my watch list." Another added: "Sounds good. Sorted for tonight," and a third simply said: "I'll watch this and add to my list."

Others had already started watching it, and revealed: "I've just started this. It's jawdroppingly good." A second added: "Watched it this morning and also the Delphi girls murder [Capturing Their Killer: The Girls on the High Bridge]. So sad."

Others also came with their own recommendations. "Just finished Wild Crime, have scrolled past until you recommended. Unbelieveable!" said one person.

"Capturing Their Killer: The Girls on the High Bridge - Disney about the Delphi murders, just watching The Fox Hollow Murders - also Disney," added another.
