A Ring Doorbell camera captured the hilarious moment a toddler delivered a brutal retort to her father. The incident, which was recorded by the Lacy family's doorbell camera in Hampshire, unfolded as mum Jessica returned home with her three-year-old daughter.
After lifting her daughter from the car seat at the rear of their white vehicle, Jessica headed towards the front door. Her husband decided to use the speaker function to issue a cautionary message before they entered the house.
The father warned: "You better wake her up before she [doesn't] sleep all night."
As he communicated through the Ring Doorbell, Jessica attempted to silence the device by covering it with her hand. However, this proved ineffective as their toddler responded with a sharp retort.
"Daddy, shut up!" the little girl exclaimed, resting on her mother's shoulder. Jessica couldn't contain her laughter following her daughter's comment.
Choosing to share the amusing incident with the world, Jessica uploaded the video on TikTok via her account @jlacy24, captioning it: "Just let the poor baby sleep."
The clip quickly gained traction, attracting nearly half a million views in less than 24 hours.
Jessica revealed that her 12-year-old daughter, Leila, who posts under the TikTok handle @lei0770177777, was "annoyed she hasn't gone viral on TikTok and her boring old mum has".
The mother added: "She [her toddler] is this funny all the time. She loves power rangers and pony's and she's nuts all the time."
Viewers found the video highly amusing and described the toddler as a "cheeky monkey".
One user commented: "That's the funniest thing I've seen all day.
Another remarked: "Well said little one. Sticking up for mam."
A third wrote: "This exactly shows, the kids act like sleeping so we carry them inside."
