If your current Fire TV Stick is feeling a little past its best, there's a new device worth considering. Amazon has just announced the launch of a streamer called the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, which offers a slightly cheaper way to watch content in pin-sharp ultra HD quality. In fact, this 4K streaming device costs £49.99 in the UK - that's compared to £59.99 for the standard 4K Fire TV Stick and £69.99 for the ultimate 4K Max model.
Sadly, for UK Fire fans, the Select isn't as cheap as it is in the US, with those across the pond needing to stump up just $39.99 (£29.99) to own one.
That said, even in the UK, the Select is still a less expensive option for anyone wanting to view shows and movies in a stunning picture quality.
Other features inside this device include a fast 1.7GHz processor, voice search via Alexa and full access to all the most popular streaming apps such as Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+. There are even quick keys on the remote which will launch applications with just one touch.
Explaining more, Amazon said: "Our newest Fire TV Stick, the 4K Select, helps you maximise every pixel of your 4K TVs at an incredible value. It delivers vibrant 4K picture quality with HDR10+ support and apps that launch remarkably fast. The performance comes from our new operating system, Vega, which is responsive and highly efficient."

Along with the new Fire TV Stick, there is also a refresh to Amazon's line-up of TVs.
These include an update to the Omni series, along with upgrades to the 4-series and budget 2-series. All get a new look, auto switch on when you walk into the room and improved visuals. The Omni even adapts the image on the screen to match the room environment.
Amazon hasn't just announced new tellies. The company is also releasing updated Echo speakers, a new Kindle Scribe with a colour screen and a better Ring doorbell with 4K recording.
