NEW DELHI: Union home minister Amit Shah on Wednesday announced that he has changed his official email ID, switching to Zoho Mail , launched in 2008 by Chennai-based Zoho Corporation .
“Hello everyone, I have switched to Zoho Mail. Kindly note the change in my email address. My new email address is amitshah.bjp@zohomail.in. For future correspondence via mail, please use this address,” Shah posted on X.
He concluded his post with a sign-off reminiscent of US President Donald Trump: “Thank you for your kind attention to this matter.”
Shah’s switch to Zoho Mail comes amid renewed emphasis on using India-made products , following the 50 per cent tariff imposed by US President Donald Trump on Indian goods.
Zoho Corporation recently launched Arattai (meaning "chat" in Tamil), its own chat and calling app positioned for the Indian market. Arattai can be downloaded from the Arattai website or via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
